The Manifold team generally believe in complete freedom of speech. However, our product isn’t fit to support this yet and bad comments have a disproportionally large reach relative to larger platforms.

Market creators are able to hide comments on their markets at their full discretion. The comment will still be publicly accessible, but behind a “comment hidden” message.

For now, the following types of comments may be hidden or deleted by admins. You may also be banned for such comments.

• Spam
• Comments containing hateful, discriminatory content directed towards a specific group, person or user.
• Repeated harassment targeting another user.
• Containing media or links to content which is illegal in the US.
• Generic, unhelpful comments clearly generated by an LLM or some other AI.
• Comments containing private information of another person, dox someone, or helps readers find such information.
• Comments self-advertising in unrelated places. This includes posting links to markets in the comments of others’ which aren’t closely related.
