Quick thoughts

• June has been one of our most productive months in terms of features shipped! But we did almost no marketing or external outreach. This month we’re doubling down on social media marketing. Bet on our success.
• Now that we’ve made News a first-class feature of our platform, we intend to make current events the primary focus of our marketing and external outreach initiatives. Our hope is that Manifold will be the first place our users turn to understand the reality behind the news.
• New user retention remains our worst metric. I calculated last week that our 6 month retention rate for new users is 5%, versus an overall 6mo rate of 24%. The new homepage + onboarding changes we made this month should improve these numbers for subsequent months.
