How the markets work

Yes/No question: “Will X & Y date for 6 months?”

Resolved similar to a conditional market on whether their relationship will last given that they consider each other. So either party can reject early (resolve NO) after considering someone. But you can also be in a ‘maybe’ state for a long time and resolve N/A.

All markets on a person resolve after one of their markets resolves YES.

  1. N/A:
    1. Didn’t even consider profile
    2. Considered the profile, they’re a maybe, never got around to dating them
  2. NO:
    1. Considered profile, judged early as a bad match
  3. YES:
    1. Considered profile, and have now been dating for 6 months
      1. [i] I think all I need from this is a two OOM improvement from hinge and twitter; I’d be happy with wanting to go on a third date with someone.
      2. [J] 6 months is key to marketing the app as long term. Plus, I truly believe it will improve the forecasts of the market to be people you are a better match with.
