How to process a withdrawal request

• [ ] Go to the Withdrawal Requests Airtable to see the request details
• [ ] Make sure the email with which they filled out the form on Airtable matches their Manifund email. (If they don’t match, send them an email at their Manifund email address to confirm that it’s legitimate, and which email you should use.)
• [ ] On Manifund Admin users page, set a negative payment to indicate withdrawn
• [ ] On Airtable, change status to TXN’d

If US

• [ ] Go to Stripe Finances

• [ ] Copy info into Move Money > Send Money > Pay someone new

• [ ] Make sure to select “ACH”

• [ ] In Airtable, change status to “Wired”

  NOTE: This sends out an email confirming that we’ve issued the payment

If International

• [ ] Sign in to Mercury from your @manifund.org email
• [ ] Go to https://app.mercury.com/payments/recipients/create/request
• [ ] Fill in name, email, etc
• [ ] Under Payment Method select Specified by me then deselect everything except International wire
• [ ] Click Send Request
• [ ] In Airtable, change status to “Mercury Requested”

(… wait for them to fill out Mercury info)

• [ ] Pay them on Mercury — select payment method “International Wire”

• [ ] In Airtable, change status to “Wired via Mercury”

  • Can receive crypto; ideally USDC
  • Can receive appreciated assets like BTC or ETH, but Coinbase takes ~3%

Ops: Guide to receiving money

(aka how to process a large deposit)

• After receiving an Airtable notification:
  • [ ] Wait until the money actually arrives in our Stripe account
  • [ ] Add the money to the user’s account on /admin
    • [ ] Check “Send donation receipt” UNLESS it’s a DAF
      • Then Manifund site will send them a donation receipt email
  • [ ] Update the status in Airtable to “TXN’d”
    • Airtable will send a notification for DAFs

• Fidelity: Sends an encrypted message, sign in from [email protected] to check the amount. Funds are sent into Mercury.
• Vanguard: Set up through Paypal giving, check [email protected]. Funds are sent into Mercury
