Aim: A lot of streamers enjoy using Twitch’s flawed built-in channel points betting system. This aims to provide a more powerful system that also rewards viewers with something more tangible than channel points.

Twitch OBS Browser source

• A live updating, on-screen panel showing viewers:
  • Question (binary and multiple choice markets, maybe numeric)
  • Probability
  • Graph (adjust our current graphs to show more real time betting)
  • Feed showing 3 most recent actions (betting, selling)

Twitch Chat bot

• Scans Twitch chat to see commands which can be anywhere in a message
• List of user commands (shouldn’t be caps sensitive)
  • For Binary Markets
    • !bet yes# - bets on yes (where # is the number of mana bet)
    • !bet no# - bets on no (where # is the number of mana bet)
  • For Numeric Markets
    • !bet more#
    • !bet less#
  • !ALLIN Yes
  • !ALLIN No
  • !sell - sells all shares
  • !Balance - Manifold Bot replies your balance to you in main chat
  • !signup and !help both trigger the following global chat message (limited to once every 15s): “Check out link to custom landing page* to link you Twitch and Manifold account to play! Commands and further guidance can also be found there!

  • Limit orders? Probably not worth doing in the first iteration.
  • Can’t do the following until bot is partnered since no dms :(
    • !help - Manifold Bot sends a DM showing list of commands
    • !signup - Manifold Bot sends a DM explaining how to link accounts and free Mana on sign up.
• List of admin commands
  • !Create [name] - bot will create a market using the associated Manifold profile of whichever mod used the command. It will automatically be added to the Streamer’s group.
  • !Resolve [yes]/[no]/[Cancel]

An alternative to typing admin commands in chat that allows the streamer to create markets (or select markets created by users in their group) to feature on stream.

Setup bot for your channel

• Link Twitch and Manifold account
• Add Manifold Bot to your Twitch chat (button on Manifold) and mod them (in Twitch chat type /mod Manifold Bot)
• Copy link to Overlay Browser source generated in the appropriate group on Manifold and add it as a new browser source to OBS.
• Copy link to OBS custom dock also generated in the appropriate group on Manifold and add it as a new custom dock in OBS
