Fulltime person to build a thriving scene for AI safety in SF

Traits we’re seeking

• Excellent understanding of the SF AIS social scene, as well as adjacent networks
• Hosts killer events
• Fairly good technical sense & understanding of AIS idea landscape
• “superconnector” (but like, not in a lame way)

Example projects

• Spin up monthly (or weekly?) happy hours for SF labs + Berkeley safety
• Also just “making events happen”
  • Social events ala Tristan Hume’s parties, Joel Becker’s karaoke, Rach’s bday
• Digital community
  • Forum (like Lesswrong/AI Alignment Forum)?
  • Chat (Slack, Discord)?
  • CRM to understand people’s needs & wants
• Fieldbuilding (?)
  • Hackathons
  • Incubator, fellowship, residents
