• atlasfellowship.org is a summer program for bright 14-18yos to get together in Berkeley

Facts

• Just 15min introduced the concept of an internal currency, and are going to earn the currency by:
  • Completing puzzles
  • Main way: Showing up to daily challenges, solve a real problem in the real world
  • Encourage a culture & practice on betting on beliefs
  • That the only currency allowed is internal currency (dollars is prohibited): “clips”
• Inspired by cultural institutions by Jane Street
• Already 2 places:
  • Drawstring bags full of beads full of “money”
  • Program-wide discord, Discord bot where you can type in a command to send clips
    • Immediately say - this is the settlement of this
• Instructors (bank of clips) can funge back and forth
  • Collect physical beads and paying on Discord, vice versa, fungible

• Here’s why you having a belief something is 70% likely to be true, there are things you should do, here’s how you should think about it
  • Now you have practice; have some questions, resolve over course of sessions (in an hour)
  • Questions over all of camp. Dinner served on time?
  • Taking part in the same economy of clips & prizes. Order your tungsten cube, etc
• How important is it to funge between physical/discord wallet and Manifold bankroll. Not at all important
  • Interesting lesson about Liquidity? They can figure it out
  • Idea: Manifold balance = 1000 on platform, no way to get more, so don’t lose it if you want to do trades
