Why would you sell your shares?

You can sell shares from markets you are invested in. Click the sell button in the “your bets” tab on the relevant market and choose how many you would like to sell.

Sometimes you want to sell shares to cash out some profit, and other times it could be to minimize losses. You will always make more mana per share if you hold them until a positive resolution. However, by selling you can buy more shares for a higher total profit in the same time period.

Keep in mind that if you choose to sell off a large number of shares at once, your average selling price could be low if there is insufficient liquidity due to slippage.

Reasons to sell shares:

Other users have over-corrected a market (you bet towards an answer and other users subsequently bet more towards your inclination).
- The value of the shares you own goes up as the demand for them increases.
- You might want to sell shares to bring the probability back down so it is closer to what you believe in.
- You might want to cash out some of your profits to be safe.
Free up Mana as a better opportunity has presented itself.
Reaction to news that changes what you think the probability is.
